Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a busy Medical/Surgical and Orthopedic/Spine unit with up to 54 beds
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:5–6, caring for general medical/surgical, orthopedic, spine, stable trauma, and psych medical hold patients
- Perform and assist with procedures including post-catheterizations, lap appy/chole, thoracentesis/paracentesis, CBI, HD/peritoneal dialysis, and IR special procedures
- Utilize unit technology including Alaris pumps, remote telemetry, continuous pulse ox, wound vacs, chest tubes, NG and feeding tubes, and specialty beds
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Collaborate within RN/LPN team structures and float within unit discretion as census and staffing require
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1–2 years of Medical/Surgical RN experience
- Current BLS certification
- Strong assessment, prioritization, critical thinking, and time management skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively within a team
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification (optional but preferred)
- Experience with Meditech or similar electronic health record systems
- Background in orthopedic, spine, or trauma patient populations
