- Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to obstetrical patients, including routine and high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum management
- Assist in the delivery process, including monitoring labor progress and supporting patients during labor and delivery
- Perform specialized procedures such as sterile vaginal exams, fetal surveillance, and immediate newborn care
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care, including documenting using EPIC and PYXIS systems
- Manage double labor assignments and handle high patient acuity in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate competency in emergency procedures, including Cesarean births and rescue cervical cerclage
Required Qualifications
- Valid NC or Compact State Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in labor and delivery, with preference for 3+ years
- Experience handling over 300 births per month in a high-volume setting
- BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications
- Proven experience with circulating in OR and high-acuity obstetric units
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience, including first-time travelers in large, high-volume units
- Strong skills in obstetrical triage, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care
- Flexibility to float within the facility as needed

Additional Details
- No RTO allowed after booking; up to 7 days of pre-approved RTO, including holidays
- Must complete onboarding modules prior to start
- Float required as needed within the facility
- Travel compliance: Candidates must enter the lab within 48 hours of signing and complete all testing within 48 hours.
- Shift timing: 18:45 to 07:15 (night shift)
