Tech EMT/Paramedic

Key Responsibilities

• Work within a high-volume Emergency Department, including the cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, and triage
• Read and interpret telemetry monitors in accordance with department standards
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Cerner electronic health record system
• Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET communication framework, keeping patient boards updated, and providing respectful, culturally sensitive care
• Float to all sections within the ED as needed to meet departmental staffing requirements
• Work every other weekend and maintain scheduling flexibility to meet department needs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume Emergency Department (100,000+ annual visits)
• At least 1 year of experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Must be able to pass a telemetry competency exam
• Active ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
• Navy scrubs required as dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience with HCA-affiliated facilities
• Demonstrated ability to coach peers and provide real-time feedback in a fast-paced environment
• Experience operating Baxter pumps and GE monitoring equipment
