Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients in a 31-bed mixed acuity unit supporting medicine services, including step-down and med/surg patients.
• Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and perform assessments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC and manage medication supplies using Omnicell.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Respond to patient needs during night shifts, including CPAP/BiPAP management and med titrations.
• Handle charge responsibilities as needed within a fast-paced hospital environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a similar setting.
• Valid Ohio RN license or valid compact license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Comfortable with CPAP/BiPAP, medication titrations, and charge nursing duties.
• Experience with EPIC documentation and Omnicell medication management.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in IMC, stepdown, or PCU units.
• Familiarity with hospital parking systems and ability to navigate the hospital campus efficiently.
• Flexibility to float within the OSU organization as needed.
