Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Weekend and rotating holiday coverage required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with an estimated patient ratio of 1:3
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Perform IV insertions and other required clinical skills in accordance with unit standards
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity level within the organization as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Document all patient care activities accurately using the electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license – compact or Ohio state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 3 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Demonstrated IV start proficiency required
• Telemetry skills required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience floating across multiple unit types or service lines preferred
