Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 12-Week Assignment | Onsite | 3 shifts per week including rotating weekends and holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including laboring, delivering, and recovering the mother as well as receiving and transitioning the newborn
- Perform fetal monitoring, manage inductions using Pitocin and Cervidil, and assist with or support procedures such as C-sections, vacuum or forceps-assisted deliveries, circumcisions, and intra-uterine monitoring
- Recognize and respond to OB emergencies including shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
- Document accurately using Meditech and CPN Central monitoring systems
- Conduct daily patient safety rounding on all assigned patients
- Float within the facility as needed per unit policy; cross-training between LDRP and NICU may be required
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
- Prior Labor and Delivery experience including maternal recovery and newborn transition and assessment
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Fetal monitoring training and demonstrated clinical competency
- Ability to adhere to unit dress code (pink and/or brown scrubs required per infant security policy)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience managing OB emergencies including shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
- Familiarity with LDRP unit workflows encompassing labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn/NICU intermediate care
- Experience with tele-medicine technology, PCA pumps, infant warmers, and bili-blankets
