Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, Nights shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting during night shifts.
- Obtain and document initial patient assessments, establishing priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
- Reassess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans within established standards of practice.
- Make informed nursing decisions based on patient evaluations and modify care plans accordingly.
- Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and timely interventions.
- Perform Point of Care testing procedures as required.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care and efficient unit operations.
Required Qualifications
- Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license.
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Active ACLS certification from the AHA.
- TNCC certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of critical care nursing or ICU experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ICU patient care standards and procedures.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
