Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend | Holidays as Needed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient nursing care to a diverse patient population with multiple co-morbidities, with a specialized focus on stroke and neurological patients
• Manage and monitor telemetry, including remote monitoring, and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
• Perform and manage vascular access including peripheral lines, central lines, PICC lines, port access, and IV starts, as well as blood product administration
• Provide feeding tube care and management, wound care, wound vac management, and isolation precaution protocols
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6 within an inpatient unit setting
• Float to other system facilities as needed per assignment requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Telemetry experience with remote monitoring required
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records required
• Experience with feeding tube care and management, central line care, PICC line management, port access, blood product administration, and wound care/wound vac required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted); current driver's license must be submitted to verify address
• Must be able to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam (2 attempts allowed; no study materials provided)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Telemetry experience with on-unit (bedside) monitoring preferred
• Experience caring for stroke or neurological patient populations preferred
