Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 16-bed Oncology unit serving patients with a variety of cancer diagnoses
- Administer chemotherapy and deliver specialized oncology nursing care within a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including oncologists, pharmacists, and support staff to coordinate individualized patient care
- Support patients and families throughout their unique care journey, maintaining a compassionate and optimal healing environment
- Float to other units or facilities as required
- Work every other weekend and holidays as required
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing or higher
- Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or valid Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted); must be verifiable through NURSYS
- Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification
- Minimum of 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional licensure, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of RN experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
- Prior oncology or chemotherapy administration experience
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
