Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | 36 or 48 hours per week accepted | 13–26 week contracts accepted

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric general medical-surgical patients on a unit with a daily census of approximately 43
• Manage heparin and insulin drips, wound vac dressing changes, and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Utilize Epic for clinical documentation and Pyxis for medication administration; communicate using SBAR methodology
• Float to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients as needed
• Participate in required monthly unit team meetings, including additional sessions scheduled for night shift staff
• Serve on an assigned Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team; may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state
• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is required
• Ability to manage insulin and heparin drips
• Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience; charge role is preferred for night shift travelers
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
