Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology)

Contract | Days / Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day Shift: 7:00–19:30 | Night Shift: 19:00–7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Oncology unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring for patients receiving chemotherapy and manage telemetry using the GE B450 monitor system
• Administer chemotherapy and support symptom management related to disease treatment or progression
• Implement and maintain infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, arterial lines, ports, and blood product administration
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed based on departmental staffing priorities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Valid RN compact or state license in hand at time of submission
• Active BCLS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Demonstrated skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, IV starts, central/PICC line management, blood product administration, port access, arterial line management, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), ABG interpretation, and assistance with chest tube insertion/removal
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred but not required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with Alaris pumps, Stryker beds, and bladder scanner equipment
