Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Days shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adults on medical-surgical or telemetry units, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret dysrhythmias, responding appropriately to changes.
• Administer medications, including blood products, and manage IV therapy such as IV starts and port access.
• Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion and removal, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute patient care plans.
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a hospital setting, preferably in medical-surgical or telemetry.
• Valid RN license (compact or state).
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Experience with interpretation of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration.
• Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience.
• Familiarity with GE telemetry systems and specialized equipment such as bladder scanners and Alaris pumps.
