Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to high-risk obstetric patients in a fast-paced, acute care Women's Hospital setting
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
- Document patient assessments, care provided, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
- Educate patients and families on high-risk pregnancy conditions, procedures, and postpartum care
Required Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in OB/GYN or High Risk Obstetrics
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a high-acuity obstetric environment
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills specific to maternal-fetal care
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-volume or Level III/IV maternal care unit
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems in an acute care setting
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
