Job Title

• IMC/Stepdown/PCU Registered Nurse

• Full-time, 3x12 Days shifts (06:45 AM - 07:15 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in intermediate care, stepdown, or PCU units.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergency situations.
• Administer medications, including cardiac and vasoactive drips, following protocols.
• Manage complex patients post-cardiac procedures, neurological events, and orthopedic surgeries.
• Care for ventilated patients, wounds, and assist with invasive procedures like sheath removals.
• Float as needed within scope to meet unit or facility needs.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent relevant experience in telemetry, neuro stepdown, or PCU.
• Certifications: BLS and NIH required; ACLS preferred.
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response.
• Skills in IV therapy, medication management, and managing post-surgical and complex medical patients.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner charting system and teaching hospital environments.
• Level I Trauma Center experience.
• Familiarity with specialty procedures such as post-cardiac cath, neurosurgery, or orthopedic trauma care.
• Experience in wound care, ventilator management, and non-invasive airway devices.
