Key Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy treatments using the AARC point system, targeting approximately 26–28 points per day
• Provide care for general medical, intermediate, and ICU patient populations including adults, pediatrics, and neonates
• Operate and manage ventilators including Servo U, Servo i, and LTV platforms, as well as BiPAP, CPAP, and heated high-flow devices
• Collaborate with on-shift team leads, hospitalists, and intensivists available 24/7 to coordinate patient care
• Complete department-specific orientation including EHR training, ventilator review, IPV, and specialty item review followed by preceptored shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Respiratory Therapy license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• BLS certification required
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) credential required
• Minimum experience in a large critical care facility (300 beds or more)
• Critical care experience required
• Must be able to pass a drug screen; position is located at a drug-free campus

Preferred Experience / Skills

• RRT credential strongly preferred over CRT
• Familiarity with ResMed S9 CPAP/BiPAP and Fisher & Paykel heated high-flow equipment
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
