- Travel, full-time, dayshift, 12-hour shifts, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized orthopedic nursing care to a diverse patient population
- Monitor and manage post-operative orthopedic patients, including early mobilization and pain management
- Administer IVs, Foley/Straight Catheterizations, and operate equipment such as CPM machines and nerve block pumps
- Ensure compliance with unit policies and maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care and positive outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in an acute care hospital, specific to orthopedic surgery
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- Experience in Med/Surg and orthopedic trauma procedures
- Knowledge of CPM (Continuous Passive Motion), nerve block pumps, and On-Q systems
