Contract | Travel | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to a diverse orthopedic patient population including elective orthopedic and ortho trauma patients on a 30-bed unit
- Perform IV starts, Foley and straight catheterization, and CPM (continuous passive motion) application
- Manage and monitor nerve block pumps and On-Q ball systems for post-surgical patients
- Support early mobilization protocols and post-operative recovery in collaboration with the care team
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with charge nurses, bedside RNs, and PCTs in a team-oriented environment with patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Orthopedic RN in an acute care hospital setting
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
