Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a geriatric psychiatry inpatient unit with a patient ratio of approximately 1:8–1:9 (not guaranteed)
- Perform behavioral health admissions and discharges in accordance with unit protocols
- Serve as a lead RN resource, with classes provided to support this role
- Float to other inpatient adult behavioral health units as needed
- Utilize Meditech EMR and Welsh Allen vital signs equipment to document and monitor patient care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs and Mental Health Technicians across day and night shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- CPI Certification (Calm Every Storm Certification also accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of current Behavioral Health nursing experience
- Flexibility and ability to manage varied patient acuity levels
- Team-oriented, compassionate approach to patient care
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Strong inpatient Behavioral Health experience
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
- Experience caring for patients with varied and complex mental health diagnoses
