Key Responsibilities
- Independently provide holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen on the OB unit
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse
- Deliver age-appropriate care across all patient populations in the department, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients
- Demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, and teaching skills with a commitment to improving quality of patient care
- Manage supplies and equipment while promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel across departments
- Adhere to all Standards of Nursing Practice and hospital policies regarding confidentiality, advance directives, and ADA compliance
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum of one year of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate (NRP)
- STABLE certification
- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, or Obstetrics nursing
- Strong written and oral communication skills with proficiency in clinical computer systems
