Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care/PCU/Stepdown unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing and responding to changes in patient status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Float within scope to other units or affiliate facilities as needed to meet staffing requirements
- Fulfill weekend shift requirements as part of the standard scheduling rotation
- Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required per facility policy
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand prior to start date
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience; at least 18 months of relevant clinical experience required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Graduation from a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE
- Must be a non-local traveler (Indiana residents are not eligible for this position)
- Ability and willingness to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Preceptor experience is strongly preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown setting
