Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Night Shift

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 72 hours per bi-weekly pay period | Weekend rotation (2 out of 3 weekends: Friday, Saturday, Sunday) with holiday rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Critical Access Hospital Emergency Department serving a rural community
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and non-emergent conditions
• Initiate and carry out nursing interventions in accordance with physician orders and established clinical protocols
• Monitor and document patient status, responses to treatment, and changes in condition throughout the shift
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Wisconsin
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Emergency Department nursing experience
• Ability to work night shifts, weekend rotations, and holidays as scheduled

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare setting
• TNCC or ENPC certification
• Familiarity with a broad patient population given the generalist nature of rural emergency care
