Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab

Contract | Days | Onsite | 4x9-hour shifts per week with occasional overtime for emergent cases

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Cardiac Cath Lab managing 4–20 cases per day at a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for patients presenting with diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, congenital conditions, TAVR, MitraClip, and peripheral vascular cases
• Read and interpret cardiac strips and titrate drips as needed during procedures
• Serve as circulator on 3-person care teams (1 RN and 2 RTRs) for routine cases and 4-person teams for call cases
• Fulfill weeknight call requirements of 6–8 shifts per month, including primary and backup call
• Participate in weekend call rotation approximately every 6–7 weekends, including 24-hour backup shifts for emergent cases approximately once per month

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Experience titrating vasoactive or cardiac drips
• Ability to work in a drug-free environment and pass a full-panel drug screen

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology (EP) setting
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR and GE or Philips monitoring equipment
• Experience in interventional radiology (IR) is a plus
