Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neuro Med/Surg unit in an inpatient hospital setting
• Monitor and assess neurological status of patients, applying NIHSS scoring as required
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and nursing protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Document patient assessments, care provided, and clinical outcomes accurately in the medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas or compact licensure eligibility
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg or Neuro Med/Surg nursing experience
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Med/Surg or Neuro specialty setting
• Familiarity with neurological patient populations and stroke protocols
