Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Projected Start: July 20, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 26-bed Surgical ICU setting with a 1:2 patient ratio, or 1:1 for high-acuity patients including post-CABG cases
- Manage and monitor patients requiring advanced equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia protocols, and ECMO
- Care for trauma patients and post-surgical ICU patients including post-CABG and post-TAVR populations
- Perform and assist with procedures including chest tube management, central line care, and medication drip administration
- Document accurately and efficiently using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care technicians across a fast-paced night shift environment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (or eligibility to obtain licensure in Kansas)
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications
- Proficiency with advanced ICU equipment (balloon pumps, CRRT, ECMO, hypothermia)
- Experience with Meditech or comparable EMR system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- TNCC certification
- Prior travel nursing experience, particularly at large trauma facilities
- 2 or more years of ICU experience
