Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Title

• Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care (MIDS)

Location

• Tuscaloosa, AL

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, 13-week assignment
• Shift: Mids (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM)
• 36 hours per week, every other weekend, holidays as required
• Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized emergency nursing care in a busy Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed, maintaining high-quality patient care across various departments
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with all hospital protocols and standards
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or valid Compact license (no temp licenses)
• Associate degree in nursing
• AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications
• NIHR and Red Cross Certifications including TNCC, SECURE
• At least 2 years of recent experience in emergency or critical care nursing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level III Trauma or Level II Stroke center preferred
• Ability to float seamlessly between units and hospitals
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
