- Registered Nurse - Renal (Med/Surg Telemetry, Night Shift)
Location
- Tuscaloosa, AL
Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Night shifts, 36 hours/week, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients with kidney-related conditions, including acute or chronic kidney disease, and those requiring renal replacement therapy
- Collaborate with community nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists to deliver comprehensive renal care
- Monitor and manage post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis patients
- Float to other units and hospitals as required to support staffing needs
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and patient safety protocols during night shifts
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Valid Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or a compact license (no temporary licenses accepted)
- AHA BLS or Red Cross Basic Life Support certification
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 recent year in renal or related specialty
- Experience working under an active professional license in a hospital setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in Med/Surg and Telemetry units
- Familiarity with renal patient care and dialysis procedures
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work independently during night shifts
