Travel RN – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside nursing care to critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting, including post-CABG, heart transplant, and ECMO patients
• Perform and interpret hemodynamic monitoring and manage ventilated patients
• Conduct bedside shift reports and maintain accurate updates to patient whiteboards
• Collaborate with intensivists and interdisciplinary team members to execute multiple procedures performed on the unit
• Float to other ICU units as needed based on volume and acuity; occasional float to PCU may be required
• Document patient care accurately using the facility's electronic documentation system

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Demonstrated experience with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilated patient management
• Experience with post-CABG patient care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech documentation system
• Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) background strongly preferred
• Familiarity with ECMO and heart transplant patient care
