Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:15 PM) | Onsite | Call Required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform first assistant duties in the main OR and OB/C-section suite
- Participate in weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage as scheduled, with a minimum of two call shifts per week and one 24-hour weekend call per four-week schedule
- Respond to emergency call within 20 minutes and arrive one hour prior to scheduled on-call cases
- Clean instruments, rooms, and equipment and set up the OR following on-call cases, including preparation for emergent C-sections
- Float to other units in rotation with staff in accordance with facility floating policies and individual clinical experience
- Complete onsite orientation of up to one week (four to five days) in addition to any offsite orientation requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification
- Active Ohio surgical technologist or applicable state license
- Experience in orthopedic robotic-assisted surgery
- Ability to take call and respond to emergencies within 20 minutes of notification
- Willingness to work some holidays as required by the call schedule
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience assisting with OB/C-section cases in an OR setting
- Local candidates are highly preferred for this assignment
