Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and manage autologous stem cell transplant patients in a BMT Oncology setting
- Access and manage ports, central lines, implanted lines, and PICC lines, including central line blood draws
- Administer blood and blood products, antibiotics, and antiemetics
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, including identification and management of dysrhythmias
- Perform Foley catheter insertion and management, IV insertion and maintenance, and enforce isolation precautions
- Float within the Oncology service line to units with the greatest need per shift; patient ratio is 4:1
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Oncology/Chemotherapy nursing experience required
- Active RN license (MO or applicable compact license)
- ACLS, BCLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
- Chemotherapy certification required
- Must pass a Relias EKG exam demonstrating interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Every other weekend availability required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records
- Prior travel nursing experience; first-time travelers will be considered
- Familiarity with Magnet-designated or Level I Trauma acute care environments
