Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (3x12, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and rotablader atherectomy
• Assist with cardiac implant closure device placements, cardiac stent placements, and IABP placement and removal
• Perform scrub procedures and equipment setup in the cardiac catheterization lab
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and interpret dysrhythmias during procedures
• Maintain strict infection control standards including sterile technique and isolation precautions
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as needed and work 2–3 weekends per contract period

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
• Active ARRT or RCIS certification required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross only; RQI cards not accepted)
• Active Illinois license in hand at time of submission
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system
• Must be available to arrive in Illinois 3 business days prior to start date for fingerprinting requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab settings
• Demonstrated competency with middle and older adult patient populations
• Familiarity with a Level I trauma center or Magnet-designated acute care hospital environment
