Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in Labor and Delivery, including intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery care
- Float to the Medical/Surgical unit to provide direct patient care or serve as a support resource when no OB patients are present
- Perform fetal monitoring and related obstetric assessments
- Deliver mother/baby care in a postpartum setting
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a critical access hospital environment
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (in hand or compact license required)
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency in fetal monitoring
- Willingness and ability to float to Medical/Surgical unit (orientation to Med/Surg will be provided)
- Comfort working across Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, and Medical/Surgical settings
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech EMR
- Prior experience in a critical access or small hospital setting
- Background in Medical/Surgical nursing in addition to OB
