Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Level I Trauma Emergency Department
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for acutely ill and injured patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver rapid emergency and trauma services
- Document patient information accurately within the EMR system, including provider order entry (Epic preferred)
- Adhere to hospital protocols and standards for trauma and emergency nursing
- Participate in weekly orientation sessions and ongoing training
Required Qualifications
- Valid MA Registered Nurse license at the time of submission or temporary license
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience in emergency or trauma settings
- Certified in CPR (AHA), ACLS, and PALS
- Basic computer literacy with ability to navigate web-based applications and EMR systems
- Experience with Level 1 Trauma and emergency care preferred, including Level I trauma experience
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, including weekends and every other weekend
- RTO (Request for Time Off) will not be approved
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a teaching hospital or specialty areas
- TNCC certification
- MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) certification
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system and provider order entry (specific to BIDMC)

Additional Notes
- No local travelers will be accepted; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Guaranteed hours of 72 biweekly; excludes on-call time
- Orientation every Monday (excluding holidays)
- Parking available at additional cost up to $43/day
