Surgical Process Technician

Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Note: First three weeks of orientation will be conducted on 1st shift, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform surgical process technician duties within a surgical services department
• Transport patients safely and efficiently throughout the facility
• Clean and turn over surgical rooms between procedures
• Lift and move heavy items as required by the role
• Provide customer service support within the surgical services environment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience required
• 18 months of combined permanent experience in a surgical specialty required
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Active, unrestricted Ohio state license in hand at time of submission (compact licenses accepted for starts dated 1/1/2023 and forward)
• Two professional references from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from assignments worked within the past 12 months

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 18 months of surgical specialty experience within a single location preferred
• Familiarity with surgical room turnover processes and patient transport procedures
