Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | On-call required (weekly rotating on-call cycle) | Weekend coverage required per on-call schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heart/lung machines to support organ function during cardiac surgery and other procedures involving disruption of circulatory or respiratory function
• Operate perfusion equipment to produce bypass, coronary perfusion, recirculation, partial bypass, and to alter blood temperature, balance, or content
• Support surgical cases including CABG, vascular, neuro, and any procedure with potential for major blood loss
• Manage and operate autotransfusion, CARDIOHELP, IMPELLA, IABP, and other standard perfusion equipment
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as assigned, including weekend coverage per on-call rotation

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular perfusion program
• Minimum of 2 years of perfusionist experience
• Active ABCP (American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion) certification required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency with heart/lung machines, QUEST, autotransfusion, CARDIOHELP, IMPELLA, IABP, and standard perfusion equipment
• Radiation badge required — must be provided prior to start (not supplied by facility)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic charting system
• Familiarity with a high-volume, acute care surgical environment
• Comfort working in a facility that may activate emergency response protocols during hurricane season (June through November)
