Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist
• Evaluate, plan, and administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
• Ensure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic activities
• Monitor and document patient response to treatment interventions
• Complete required forms and documentation in compliance with company policy and state/federal regulations

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs, administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT)
• Confirmed post-graduate experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
• Proficiency with PCC and/or NetHealth documentation platforms
• Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
• Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and therapeutic exercises

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of evaluations
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Demonstrated empathy and patience when working with a skilled nursing or long-term care population
