Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays as Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all age groups within a high-volume, 54-bed Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center environment
• Deliver care across a range of acuity levels, maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 for critical and trauma patients and 1:3–4 for all other patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff to ensure timely and effective patient outcomes
• Float to other units and hospital facilities as needed to support staffing requirements
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the facility's EMR system (Meditech)
• Adhere to facility dress code (solid navy scrubs) and all applicable policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or valid Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted); must be verifiable through NURSYS
• AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, and AHA PALS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (AHA or Red Cross accepted)
• TNCC certification required; SECURE certification required (available onsite)
• Minimum of 18 months of experience (2 years preferred) working under the highest level of professional licensure, with at least 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume emergency department treating 60,000+ patients annually
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
• Prior travel nursing experience with demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new environments
