Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | 36–48 Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays As Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting as part of a float pool
- Float to various units and hospital locations as needed based on staffing requirements
- Monitor and assess patients on telemetry, responding appropriately to changes in condition
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Meditech EMR
- Adhere to facility dress code (solid navy scrubs) and all applicable clinical policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or valid Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted); must be verifiable through NURSYS
- Current AHA BLS certification or Red Cross BLS certification
- Minimum of 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional licensure, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry; 2 years of specialty experience preferred
- Willingness to float to multiple units and hospital locations as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- Experience working in a float pool or multi-unit clinical environment
