Registered Nurse – ICU (Critical Care Float Pool)

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Onsite | Weekend shifts with one weekday shift per week

Key Responsibilities

• Float within a Critical Care Float Pool, providing direct patient care across a variety of ICU settings including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU
• Deliver high-acuity nursing care in alignment with unit-specific protocols and patient needs
• Manage patients requiring ventilator support, telemetry monitoring, and IV therapy
• Adapt quickly to varying patient populations and unit environments based on staffing and patient acuity
• Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity in accordance with float pool policy
• Accurately document patient care and clinical assessments using the EPIC electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Valid RN license (compact or state license required at time of submission); must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
• Demonstrated competency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
• Two professional references required; at least one must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience floating across multiple ICU specialties or high-acuity environments
