Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (07:00–19:30) and Night Shift (19:00–07:30) available | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed SICU (plus 2 procedural beds) serving high-acuity surgical and trauma populations including cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, and Level 2 trauma patients
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 for standard ICU patients, 1:1 for highest acuity patients (e.g., immediate post-op cardiac, CRRT, MTP, OPO), and 1:3 for med-surg/floor-status patients
• Titrate vasoactive and sedation drips including epinephrine, norepinephrine, propofol, precedex, vasopressin, dobutamine, heparin, insulin, dopamine, neo, and milrinone
• Monitor, read, and document patient telemetry rhythm strips independently using GE monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with in-house intensivists (24/7), respiratory therapy, charge nurses, and nursing house supervisors to deliver coordinated critical care
• Float to MICU or serve as patient observer within the facility as needed based on census

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Demonstrated experience caring for high-acuity ICU patient populations including cardiovascular surgery and trauma patients
• Experience titrating critical care drips in an ICU setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC certification
• Experience with CRRT, IABP, Impella, and/or ECMO
• Experience caring for immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients
