Key Responsibilities

• Set up endoscopy cases by providing appropriate equipment and supplies based on the procedure, and assist with attaching patient monitors.
• Assist the physician and RN during endoscopy procedures, and support other rooms in case preparation and post-procedure room cleaning.
• Restock supplies in the Endoscopy Suite daily and perform routine cleaning and maintenance of all endoscopy equipment.
• Contribute to optimizing room turnaround time as an active member of the endoscopy team while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Respond appropriately and effectively in emergency situations, and report malfunctioning scopes or equipment to the Charge RN, Biomed, or Manager.
• Demonstrate flexibility in accepting work assignments, including floating to other areas or units as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating professionalism, communication, and teamwork.
• Commitment to maintaining patient safety, infection control, and compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
• Effective, clear, and respectful communication skills, both verbal and written, with active listening abilities.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist Program.
• Completion of the SGNA Associates Program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
