• Travel, Full-time, Days, 5 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to cardiovascular surgery patients in a high-acuity environment.
• Assist with procedures such as arterial line, central line, and epidural placement.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including skin assessment and large-bore IV starts.
• Support patient transport to OR, assist with anesthesia induction, intubation, positioning, and skin prep.
• Document patient information accurately using Cerner system in a fast-paced setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in the state of North Carolina or appropriate compact license.
• Critical care experience, particularly in cardiovascular or surgical units.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with large-bore IVs, arterial lines, central lines, and epidural placement.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate critical thinking skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in CVOR or cardiovascular surgery units.
• Proficiency with GE Carescape monitoring systems.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of Cerner documentation systems.
