Registered Nurse CVICU

Job Title
• RN - CVICU Travel Nurse

Location
• Asheville, NC

Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, 13-week assignment, Days shifts, 12.5-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the CVICU, including vent management, hemodynamic monitoring, and telemetry interpretation
• Titrate vesicant medications, manage pressors, sedation, and paralytics as needed
• Assist with procedures such as cardioversion, central line insertion, chest tube management, and other ICU interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation within Cerner electronic health records system

Required Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or appropriate state credentials
• ICU experience of 2+ years, specifically in CVICU or critical care units
• Experience with ventilators, telemetry, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficiency in titration of vesicant medications, pressors, sedation, and paralytics
• Ability to interpret telemetry and PA catheter data
• Knowledge of chest tube procedures and other ICU protocols

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Certification in CCRN or similar critical care credentialing preferred
• Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT is advantageous
• Familiarity with advanced ICU procedures such as transvenous pacing and TEE
