• Full-time, Days shifts, 1 shift per week

Key Responsibilities

• Independently administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and injections in accordance with provider orders.
• Access and perform clinical care on port-a-caths, PICC lines, Hickman catheters, including venipuncture, dressing changes, and labs via ports and catheters.
• Maintain accurate, concise, and complete records of patient conditions, treatments, medications, and responses to therapy.
• Monitor and document all intravenous therapies and patient responses, notifying medical providers of any unusual occurrences.
• Provide patient, family, and caregiver education regarding medications, treatments, side effects, disease process, nutrition, and activity adjustments.
• Verify informed consent prior to chemotherapy administration.
• Follow proper handling, administration, and disposal procedures for hazardous drugs, and ensure compliance with PPE protocols.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to policies and procedures.
• Proficient in Epic EMR for documentation and patient care management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience or proficiency with oncology treatments and chemotherapy administration.
• Knowledge of handling hazardous drugs and PPE requirements.
• Proficiency in Epic EMR.
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed protocols.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in an oncology or hematology setting.
• Certification in oncology nursing (OCN) preferred.
• Familiarity with vascular access devices such as port-a-caths, PICC lines, and Hickman catheters.
