Contract | Days | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for pediatric patients ranging from 3 days to 18 years of age across PICU and general Pediatrics units
• Manage a diverse patient population including common childhood illnesses, respiratory conditions, traumas, seizures, poisoning, RSV, general surgical cases, and birth defects
• Deliver high-acuity PICU care including respiratory management, trauma response, and donation cases; no burn patients
• Utilize EPIC for computerized charting and Pyxis for medication management
• Float to additional units such as NICU as needed
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 in Pediatrics and 1:2 in PICU

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in both PICU and Pediatrics (both specialties required)
• Active RN license in Indiana or a Compact state
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• PALS certification through the AHA required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required
• Prior experience in a Level 2 Trauma facility with 400+ beds required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong IV insertion and management skills
• Experience floating to NICU or other pediatric subspecialty units
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
