Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit, supporting expectant mothers through delivery and postpartum processes.
- Collaborate with medical teams to ensure safety and quality care for mother and baby.
- Document patient information accurately using the Cerner charting system.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work across multiple units, including OB (L&D, PP, Well-Baby Nursery), ER, Med/Surg, and Charge roles, as required.
- Adhere to hospital policies, including a minimum call-off policy of three shifts per 13-week contract without penalty or guarantee payment.
- Participate in orientation sessions held exclusively on Tuesdays.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Nebraska.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA/ARC).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA/ARC or ENPC).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Prior travel experience as an RN.
- Flexibility to work in a small, critical access hospital environment with a 25-bed facility capable of handling up to 350 ER patients per month.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC).
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI).
- Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE).
