Registered Nurse ICU

Job Title

• Registered Nurse - ICU (Night Shift)

• Charlottesville, VA

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shift, 4 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized patient care for ICU populations, including those with multi-system failure, sepsis, pneumonia, gastrointestinal bleeding, and organ failure
• Adhere to hospital protocols and policies, including float policy and infection control measures
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic electronic medical record system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, comprehensive care
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and facility policies, including licensing and certifications

Required Qualifications

• Valid State Registered Nurse license (pending licenses accepted with in-hand verification by start date)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
• Epic electronic health record experience
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience (Level 1 experience preferred)
• Ability to adhere to facility’s float policy and compliance regulations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred
• Experience in a level 1 ICU setting
• Knowledge of UVAs float and return policies
• Ability to manage complex multi-system patients effectively
