Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
- Assist with and monitor patients undergoing medical management and surgical recovery, including procedures such as cholecystectomy and appendectomy
- Utilize remote telemetry equipment to monitor patient status and respond appropriately
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Work independently and collaboratively within a small nursing team, utilizing available floor resources as needed
- Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining clinical excellence and sound clinical judgment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of current hospital acute care Medical/Surgical experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Outgoing, confident, and self-directed with strong independent clinical judgment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Combined surgical and medical nursing experience
- Mother/baby experience with NRP certification preferred
- Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring
