Contract | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (18:45–07:15) | Every Other Weekend Coverage

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a focus on stroke, TIA, and higher-acuity med-surg patient populations including adults and geriatrics
• Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses including stroke/TIA, seizure, syncope, pneumonia, chest pain, dialysis, acute kidney failure, post heart cath, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, CHF, and sepsis
• Perform specialized procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
• Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system
• Maintain a strong focus on patient experience and quality outcomes
• Float to other units based on census needs, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee
• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must not be a first-time traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for stroke and TIA patient populations in an inpatient setting
• Familiarity with peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation procedures
• Experience working in high-acuity med-surg environments with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
