Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) | 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM | On-Call Required (3–4 calls per month)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scrub technologist duties within a cardiovascular operating room environment
- Assist surgical teams during cardiovascular and pediatric cardiac procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and surgical supplies
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout all phases of the procedure
- Adhere to facility compliance standards, infection control protocols, and patient safety guidelines
- Participate in on-call rotation as required by the department
Required Qualifications
- Active NBSTSA certification (CST) required — no exceptions
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience with at least one prior travel assignment, or 3 years of recent CVOR experience without travel
- Pediatric cardiovascular (CV Peds) experience required — strictly enforced
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to qualify as a travel candidate
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; RTO submitted after an offer is made will not be honored
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3 or more years of CVOR scrub technologist experience
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
- Willingness to work holidays as required per facility policy
