Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit, including patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and post-heart catheterization diagnoses
• Manage and monitor patients stepping down from ICU level care (no ventilator or vasopressor support)
• Administer and monitor drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation
• Perform telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
• Float to other like units as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
• Complete required pre-assignment modules within 48 hours of receiving system access

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for step-down or intermediate care patients transitioning from ICU settings
• Familiarity with sotalol initiation protocols and cardiac drip management
• Prior travel nursing experience
