Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Cardiac Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit with patient ratios of 4:1 on Telemetry and 3:1 on Stepdown
• Recover post-Cath Lab patients including those with stents, pacemakers, MitraClips, Micrapacers, and valve replacements
• Manage cardiac drips and provide comprehensive care for heart failure patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms throughout the shift
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and unit staff on both day and night shifts
• Float to other cardiac units and med-surg as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification (required – candidates without will not be considered)
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR or ability to adapt quickly to electronic medical records systems
• Availability to work every other weekend; no on-call shifts required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Formal EKG training or demonstrated EKG interpretation skills
• Prior cardiac nursing experience in a telemetry or stepdown setting
