Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit, including patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and post-cardiac catheterization recovery
• Manage and monitor telemetry and step-down level patients transitioning from ICU (no ventilator or vasopressor support required)
• Administer and monitor drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation
• Maintain continuous telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
• Float to other like units as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
• Complete required pre-assignment modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials prior to start date

Required Qualifications

• Active Tennessee Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit
• Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for step-down or intermediate care level patients
• Familiarity with sotalol initiation protocols and cardiac drip management
• Prior travel nursing experience considered for first-time travelers based on overall clinical background
